Instagram Is Sharing Your Location. How To Turn It OFF!
I can not conceive of why it would ever be necessary to have a feature like this, but I will leave that to the internet to figure out. That said, for anyone who wants to disable it, here’s the four places you should look from your iphone:
Open your phone’s settings.
Scroll to the bottom and select apps.
Scroll down to Instagram app and select it.
Select ‘Location’ and select ‘Never’.
Go to the Instagram app directly.
Click the 3 horizontal lines on the top right.
Select ‘Notifications’.
Scroll down to Map.
Toggle all to Off.
Go to the Instagram app.
Click the little house icon at the bottom left of your screen.
Click the Messenger button at the top right of your screen.
Click the blue ‘Map’. It looks like a globe.
Make sure that if it is on, you turn it off.
On your iPhone, go to Settings.
Select Privacy & Security.
Select ‘Location Services’.
Review and change list of apps using your location.
